Today the 21th of April I did volunteer from 8 AM to 12 PM and I had an awesome day in Zayed Higher Organization (ZHO) which will be my volunteer project with Mr.Gregory.
when I entered ZHO, the administrator(Fatima) took me for a tour inside the organization, I really enjoyed the place and I had a great 2 hours with miss Fatima to fill up the registration form and she told me a brief summary about ZHO and what are she doing there.
Fatima told me that she is an organizer manager and she is the one who organize the parties, events and conferences.
After that then she took me to preparation and rehabilitation workshop i met Mr.Alaa and he introduced me to the special need students.
In this workshop the student learn new levels of academical and vocational skills . they start here when they are 14 years old . usually they came from other department of the center but there are other came from home or school . There are a lot of different Disabilities whom training students learn to write and read the numbers, and how to grab the scissors the right way, as well as keeping a pen and ruler and underline the right way, and many of the works that qualify them to enter any of the workshops section. And through which students prepare and qualify them to work in specialized workshops according to their preferences, abilities and aptitudes, after they have been providing them with accurate and professional skills training on safety general rules for workshops laws.
Those students need a lot of work they put them in this class to help them improve their abilities so they can find out what they are actually specialist are, so they can put them in their fields.
I had a great 2 hours also there and i will show you next week more about ZHO and the student over there.
